SARB Studio
An independent studio in Kuwait

We make small apps for curious people.

Two or three at a time, made slowly and looked after properly. No advertising, nothing tracked, and Arabic that reads like Arabic — not like English turned around.

Our apps

One at a time, until it's right.

Here is what the studio is making now. When it's ready, it goes on both stores — and not a week before.

Trace Draw Create

Tracey

Hold a phone above a sheet of paper and the picture appears on the page. A child traces it by hand, with a real pencil, and actually learns to draw. There are lessons, a challenge every day, and a streak worth protecting.

What we believe

Four things we won't trade away.

No ads in a child's app. Ever.

Not a banner, not a video, not a single sponsored anything. If we cannot make an app pay for itself honestly, we don't ship it.

Arabic is not a translation job

Every app is built to run in both directions from the first line of code. That is why the Arabic version doesn't feel like a stranger.

It should work on a plane

No account wall, no spinner before the fun starts. If it needs the internet to be useful, we designed it wrong.

Slow is a feature

We would rather publish one app a family keeps for years than ten they delete in a week. Fewer apps, looked after longer.

The studio

Small on purpose.

SARB — سِرب — is the Arabic word for a flock of birds flying in formation. It is also how the studio works: a handful of small apps, each light on its own, all built on one shared foundation so the next one starts further along than the last.

We are based in Kuwait, we answer our own email, and there is no growth target on a wall anywhere. If you write to us, the person who replies is the person who built the thing.

Say hello

An idea for an app you wish existed, a bug, a question, or a good argument that we've got something wrong. We read everything and reply within two days.
